SPLAT Training
Class 2 visited SPLAT training and had a great time. We saw calves, chickens, turkeys and we also got to feed the pigs.
In the classroom area Class 2 were able to show their knowledge of map reading. They identified symbols and found objects around the farm by using coordinates. They then made their own maps with keys and symbols, some children even made grids to read coordinates.
All in all we had a fantastic visit, the children were really interested and are now ready for the next map reading challenge and walk to Pecket Pike.
