Children and staff from Class 2 had a fabulous full day out.
The morning was spent at Skipton Castle having a guided tour and learning all about life in the Middle Ages. The guides really bought the castle to life and the children left bursting not just with facts but with a real sense of what life must be like for those who lived and worked in the castle.
After lunch we headed on to visit Islam Bradford. We watched the call to prayer and the prayers that followed. We learnt about the five pillars of Islam and we were able to ask questions about the Islamic Faith, traditions and customs. Our visit ended with snacks provided for the children and staff.
We would like to send a huge thank you to Skipton Castle and Islam Bradford. We had a really exciting and educational day made possible by the kindness, enthusiasm and hospitality of our hosts.
