Football League 2018
Unfortunately, there were only 4 teams that managed to fit in a football match this year in what proved to be too busy a Summer Term for many schools due to residential visits, school plays, England Football & many HX7 sporting events.
Old Town had an exceptionally strong team this year - most of the boys play together regularly for Hebden Bridge Saints - so it is a pity that they were unable to defend their title from Summer 2017. However, they won their one outdoor league game on the park against Scout Road and also enjoyed success in the indoor 'Futsal Tournament' in February 2018. We were the winners of round 1 at North Bridge Leisure Centre that qualified us for the Halifax Finals. We went on to finish 7th from the 8 teams represented in the finals and we were very proud of our achievements - only losing by a goal or so against super opposition.
