Code-breaking in Maths

Class 3 had a Maths lesson on code-breaking and place value this morning.

 

In pairs, children were given a blank 100 square and lots of jigsaw pieces with symbols. They had to work out which symbols represented digits 0-9 and then use their place value knowledge to re-build the coded 100 square!
