Maths Home Learning

All children, especially Year 4, should access TTRockstars as often as possible (at least 10 minutes a day would be beneficial). The children have all been given a log in. It can be found on a sticky label in the front of their Maths Home Learning Journal or on the letter that has been posted out to those children who were not in school on the 19th March.

Most of the maths tasks will be set via MyMaths or the White Rose Maths Hub , at the start of the week,  for the week ahead (log in details for MyMaths can be found in the same place as the TTRockstars). Each task on MyMaths  includes a helpful step-by-step lesson, followed by some questions to complete to check understanding. The home learning section on White Rose Maths Hub can be found at https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/ and provides 5 online lessons per year group, with a video tutorial and 20 minute follow up task.

Alongside this, an investigative or practical activity may posted to the class page for children and families to have a go at.

To keep busy, children may also wish to play the selection of games on their MyMaths. Another class favourite is ‘Hit the Button, which can be found via the following link: https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/hit-the-button

Top Tip

Even if you’re working on a tablet or computer to complete maths activities, have your Home Learning Maths book handy & a pencil for working things out!
