Hardcastle Crags November 2012

Class 4 take part in the National Trust Guardianship programme every year. This involves a half-termly visit to Hardcastle Crags, a local National Trust site, where the children participate in outdoor learning activities. Activities can be curriculum-linked (for example: pond-dipping / science, river study & water cycle / geography, den-building / design technology) but the children also take part in activities that help protect and preserve the natural environment such as tree-planting or making bird boxes.
