1:1 Support Assistant for a Key Stage 1 pupil (Year 1)
Salary Scale 2 (£13.05 per hour) Fixed Term contract for 1 term initially starting September 2026
30 hrs per week: Monday – Friday 9.00-3.30pm (with 30 minutes lunch duty). This role would also suit a job share. Please state on your application if you prefer full time or part time position.

The governors wish to appoint a 1:1 Support Assistant who is enthusiastic and innovative to join our friendly team at this popular and successful village school.
As a Support Assistant, you will work closely with a child with SEN (ASD), providing dedicated 1:1 support to help them access the curriculum and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
• Offer tailored support to a specific child with SEN on a 1:1 basis.
• Assist in the implementation of the EHCP/Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to address the child's needs.
• Provide regular feedback on the child's progress.
Requirements:
• Previous experience working with children with SEN.
• A genuine interest in working with children and supporting their educational development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Relevant qualifications or training in supporting individuals with SEN (desirable).
