Attendance
School Attendance
As you know there is a direct link between attendance and achievement – the more children attend, the more likely they are to achieve well. All of the children’s attendance has been interrupted by the pandemic and so it is more important than ever that, wherever possible, pupils are in school. Children build learning onto their prior knowledge and so a relatively short absence from school can mean that they miss a key building block or stage in their learning. To help raise the profile of attendance in school, our Governors – with support and guidance from the Educational Welfare Team - have reviewed our policy and made some changes.
